Clutch Hitting is a company dedicated to teaching children the fundamentals of the games of baseball and softball. Clutch Hitting has been in business informally since 1992, and was formally organized and incorporated in late 1994. Since that time, the company has never strayed from the emphasis of teaching children for the "next level" and always putting the players first. The company's first priority and core business consists of running clinics for children ages 7 thru college. These clinics are administered in accordance with Clutch Hitting's formal program guidelines and overseen by the owners of the company and a staff of instructors who are trained in our methodology. These clinics, in conjunction with private lessons, as well as little league and P.A.L on site programs, round out the services performed by the teaching arm of the company.

The popularity of Clutch Hitting's approach and design of its programs has led to the company growing to a size that was not imagined when the first informal clinics were started in 1993. Proudly, this growth has taken place through a "a word of mouth" and referral system which has only reinforced our belief that our priorities and emphasis were in the correct place. Specifically, our clinics have grown from one location and approximately 30 students, to three locations and approximately 1,500 students on a yearly basis. As a company, we continually search out additional instructors who are embarking on some sort of professional career and would like to give something back to kids before their families and careers prohibit them from doing so. Recently, this search had begun and ended with former students who, either during or after their college baseball careers, come back to help kids the way they were helped by the programs. As such, Clutch Hitting instructors not only know how to teach baseball, but also make excellent role models. That is, like the owners, many of the instructors are college graduates, who as high schoolers parlayed their baseball talents into college scholarships and more importantly, degrees!

All of these programs had been operated by Clutch Hitting renting satellite facilities on a time rental basis. Not surprisingly however, the company's growth necessitated the search for and the opening of the first location that we could call our own. Therefore, in 1999, "Clutch Hitting Baseball & Softball Academy" was opened in Plainview, New York.

With the opening of the company's central office, Clutch Hitting grew to offer specialized advice in the sale of sporting goods; birthday parties counseled and run by Clutch Hitting staff; college application and resume services; and the sponsoring of summer teams, ages 12 thru college, which compete as traveling teams and serve as a continual development program for the children coming through the teaching arm of the company.
